Fez to Anywhere Driver will pick you up from your Riad or Hotel at 8 am for an enchanting journey to the northern region of Morocco, where you will discover the unique and captivating small city of Chefchaouen, famously known as the “Blue City” of Morocco. During your drive, you will pass through lush forests, expansive valleys, dramatic gorges, and towering mountain peaks that envelop the charming city of Chefchaouen.

Embark on your day tour of Chefchaouen by meandering through the narrow, cobalt-blue and white-painted streets of this serene town, which was founded in 1471 by Moulay Ali ben Moussa as a kasbah, or fortified citadel. This historical kasbah is still open for visitors today and boasts a picturesque garden that was added more recently. Walking through the azure alleyways, with the radiant sun bouncing off the walls, creates a sensation akin to strolling beneath the surface of a tranquil, cerulean sea—an absolutely incredible experience.

Chefchaouen’s markets are a treasure trove of authentic, high-quality local handicrafts, showcasing styles not commonly found elsewhere in Morocco. You’ll encounter wide, vibrantly colored hats reminiscent of “sombreros,” intricately adorned with decorative threads, as well as handwoven blankets featuring vivid patterns and an array of woolen garments. The town square, surrounded by restaurants and cafes, offers a delightful opportunity to savor the delectable local goat’s cheese while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.

Chefchaouen also boasts numerous other landmarks to explore, including the 15th-century Grande Mosque and Place Mohammed Park, which offers breathtaking views of the Rif Mountains.
